John the Baptist calls for change which sounds like bad news. He is demanding and critical. But he is preparing us to receive Jesus, to change to something better, and that is good news.

Jesus loved people by spending time with them. He sat, ate, listened, touched, and healed. Love, time, and busy – all four-letter words.

Christians are responsible for helping one another mature. At times this means speaking the truth in love and at times humbly receiving it.

God uses our everyday routines. Our ordinary days are not wasted. When we’re faithful and consistent, God can depend on our availability.

I was so excited! God had used me and it felt great! I wanted more of these moments and wanted others to have them too. So I said “Take my life and use it.”
