Sometimes God Speaks Directly to Me

Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.
Psalm 90:12 (NLT)

Sometimes God speaks directly to me.

This Psalm was the Verse of the Day from Bible Gateway on the day of my step-mother’s funeral. Bible Gateway didn’t know what was happening in my life. They didn’t choose this verse for me.

God did. He knew.

God reminded me that life is not guaranteed. With this brief sentence, He both
comforted and inspired me.

Sometimes God uses the Bible to speak directly to my heart. Not every day, but often enough, His Word specifically relates to my life at that moment. For this
reason, this relevant text is called the Living Word. For this reason I keep digging into its pages.

We’re doing just that together here at Seeds of Scripture! A little bit every day! On some days the verse will be just what you need and I love when you share those moments!

The Bible is a living, relevant document. Listen to God‘s voice by reading His words.

Amen, Sorry for your loss, Cathy. God does speak and I am forever grateful for that too.

Thanks Cherrilynn. It was a beautiful funeral that I'll write about soon.

I get such a charge when God speaks undeniably.
