Topics to Dig Into
Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.
Ephesians 4:29(NLT)
God’s timing is perfect.
This scripture was BibleGateway.com’s
verse of the day on Saturday while I was on retreat with the Senior High church
group. One of our topics was ‘Loving Like God’.

What better verse to use for teenagers than this one from Ephesians?
I shared my belief that coincidences are from God. He sent Saturday’s verse, as well as Friday’s verse, for our discussion:
Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own
interests, but take an interest in others, too. Philippians 2:3-4
interests, but take an interest in others, too. Philippians 2:3-4
I feel as though God entered into the conversation with a lesson for all of us. True love for others is selfless and humble. A loving Christian listens with interest and encourages. Their words about others are kind and helpful whether or not they’re spoken in the person’s presence.
Do you believe coincidences are God-incidents?
Do your actions embody the kind of love described?
