What’s the difference between a player and a fan? Football season is underway, so let it be our
example. Do you watch games on Sunday?

Are you disciple of Jesus or simply a fan?
When Jesus called a disciple, He asked him to leave
his old life and promised to teach him a new way, a far better way of living. There is a cost to being a disciple. You will spend your time differently. There is also a cost to not being a
disciple: missing out on the peace and
joy that comes from a relationship with God; continued division, anger, and
unforgivenesss in your relationships with others; as well as guilt, shame, and
anxiety.

Spend a few minutes to plant a quick Seed. Or stay longer and plant a whole garden.
Can't there be, Cathy, different levels of commitment? People are different. They have different needs. They have different abilities. Could be that the life of a disciple is a perfect fit for one, but a life of misery for another? Once a long time ago, a rabbi said to me, "You know, Judy, between you and God, you may be secular, but the way you treat your fellow Man, you are Orthodox." It was one of the greatest compliments I have ever received. He was a great rabbi. HUGS <3
Judy, it's hard to put a complete thought into a quick devotion. YOU, my dear, are exactly the kind of disciple I'm talking about. Not one who sits back on Saturday/Sunday and claps politely, but one who lives and breathes the message every day. We're players right where we are, not just fans. You walk the walk. By the way, that is a beautiful compliment.
