Investment Advice

Ecclesiastes
11:1-2,4,6 (NLT) – Send your grain across the seas, and in time, profits will
flow back to you.  But divide your
investments among many places, for you do not know what risks might lie
ahead.  Farmers who wait for perfect
weather never plant.  If they watch every
cloud, they never harvest.  Plant your
seed in the morning and keep busy all afternoon, for you don’t know if profit
will come from one activity or another – or maybe both.

I love when Scripture is so
practical!  Can you believe this advice
was written by King Solomon nearly 3000 years ago?  Some things never change.  Some truths are just true.

What lesson(s) do you hear?

The commentary at MyStudyBible.com
explains it well.  Diversify your
investments because no one knows what will happen; you should be ready for
anything.  If you don’t commit until you’re
absolutely certain of success, you’ll never do anything.  Understand that your control of the future is
limited.  Just keep working hard in the
hopes that at least one of your ventures will succeed.

Cathy, God used you today. The Lord spoke through your words. 🙂 I'll keep on working on both projects. Thank you! ~andy

Spend a few minutes to plant a quick Seed. Or stay longer and plant a whole garden.

Each post is a short scripture study that will grow as you let it take root in your thoughts. If you have time, dig into one area of interest and plant a whole garden.
