Cuts Like a Knife

Psalm 52:2 (NIV) You who practice deceit, your tongue plots
destruction; it is like a sharpened razor.

Do you ever tell only part of the truth
in order to manipulate a result?  Do you
arrange and/or omit facts to get what you want?
Is this deceptive?

The tongue is often compared to a
sword in scripture, but here the psalmist specifically uses a word meaning pen-knife
or razor.  Using such a weapon is far
more intimate than fighting with a sword.
Deceit is up close and personal.

Is there harm in withholding
information?
